This was a challenging photoshoot in the sense that I did not know the character Pink Lars whatsoever. A few days prior to the shoot, I spent a bit of time researching the character so that I could get a better understanding of the character and how to frame the pictures.
The photoshoot took place during PAX and it was a 30 minute photoshoot, however we managed to take a lot of different shots with different angles. I was actually shocked with how many I managed to get in just 30 minutes. I suppose a lot of that has to do with the fact we took most of the shots in locations very close by to each other.
August, the cosplayer, was very pleasant to work with and it was very clear there was a very personal reason to coslay the character. As a result, I barely had to do any directing and August was able to pose quite well! It was pretty refreshing and provided an interesting change of pace.
